Infringement Report Policy Pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act

SCI.PetYolo.org (“SCI.PetYolo.org”) opposes, in the strongest terms, any unauthorized infringement of intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyrights. Our policy is to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the requirements of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), as amended from time to time. If you believe your copyright has been infringed, you may report an alleged infringement in accordance with DMCA requirements to our designated agent at: [email protected].

As per DMCA requirements, your report must include the following details and information:

  1. A physical or electronic signature provided by an authorized person acting on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly being infringed.
  2. Details of the infringing materials and their current location on the SCI.PetYolo.org website.
  3. Clear and precise identification of the copyrighted work allegedly infringed (in a format that allows us to verify such a claim).
  4. Contact information of the complaining party, including a physical address, telephone number, and an email address at which the complaining party can be contacted (if available).
  5. A statement that the complaining party believes in good faith that the use of the material in the complaint is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or any relevant legislation.
  6. A statement affirming that the information contained in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right allegedly being infringed.

Please note that, according to the DMCA, any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing copyright may be subject to liability. Upon receipt of such notification, SCI.PetYolo.org will promptly investigate the matter and, if deemed appropriate, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material. Furthermore, as required by the DMCA, we will notify the third party that posted the content subject to the alleged infringement and, if applicable, mark it on our website while conducting the investigation.

We may, as required by the DMCA, suspend and/or terminate the access of repeat offenders to our website (or any related content) at our discretion and as determined by our policies from time to time. To prevent infringers from exploiting this policy, we do not disclose the specifics of such policy.

Challenging Your Claim

We urge you to consider the potential fair use implications of the materials you have indicated as infringing the copyright of their owner. We reserve the right to contest abuses of the DMCA process, and your use of the form below does not waive that right.

Indemnification

You may be liable for damages and must indemnify SCI.PetYolo.org (including costs and attorneys’ fees) in the event of your willful misrepresentation that material or activity infringes on copyright, which you inform us about.
